Today we had an all day seminar at Brian Harvey's place. Kastle was out and about being handled, picked up, pet, played with, nails trimmed, hand stacked and was absolutely wonderful the entire time. There were a ton of strange people, strange dogs, new sights and smells and in general a lot of stimulation for an 8 week old puppy and he behaved like a champ!
Kastle had a short evaluation by both Ron, my Training Director and also Brian, Ron's mentor and they both think he's a great little puppy and will do very well in Schutzhund :-)
I've been working slowly on moving each of Kastle's feet and having him keep them where I place them, he's pretty compliant with that. It came in handy today when Becky was stacking him for a photo.
He also rode for 3 hours in the car on the way there and then another 3 hours on the way back and he did fantastic in his crate. He only cries when he has to get out to go to the bathroom and goes as soon as he is put down in the grass. He was crated for the vast majority of the day, only getting out for some quick games and to visit with everyone and did wonderfully. He was exhausted by the time we got home, a ton of sun, activity and riding in the truck wore him out!
Love this puppy!
