I decided to start teaching Kastle to go to a mat and down on it. This is his first time learning this activity. I started by marking for touching it at all, that happened fast and then I paused and waited for him to offer a behavior on the mat. Which he did, he offered a sit. I accepted that and then moved on and asked him to down on the mat. It was fairly clean and quick from start to finish.
